Sports, Clubs & Committees

Intramural sports are offered in the evenings during the week, throughout the fall and winter semesters: indoor soccer, ball hockey, ice hockey, badminton, public skating, bowling, curling, and many more.

Fitness Centre

All students have access to the campus Fitness Centre which offers cardio equipment, weight machines and dumbbells. The fitness centre is located in the basement of Steckley Hall Residence.

Student-Led Clubs & Committees

Join the Soil & Crop Club, Dairy Club, Horticulture Club and/or Chaplaincy Program. Student committees include the Yearbook, Student Recreation, Social, and Spring Expo committees. Campus staff will happily help you set-up your own club!

Leadership Development & Support

Peer Helper Program

Trained second year students provide their fellow students with academic help and study sessions. One-on-one or small group sessions are available. More on the Peer Helper program here.

Recruitment Ambassador Program

Assist with recruitment activities throughout the fall and winter semesters. Activities include leading campus tours, assisting at open house events, and public speaking.

Student Government

Students are elected each year to be representatives of the student body. They also plan social opportunities, including on-campus weekly “pub” nights and charity events.

Orientation Ambassador Program

Join a team to welcome new students to the campus at the beginning of each academic year. Organize events to get first-year students meeting one another and acquainted with campus.

Special Events

Spring Expo

This student-planned event includes Livestock Shows (beef, dairy, sheep, pigs), Dog Agility Courses, a BBQ, Equipment Show, and a Bake Sale. It’s an opportunity to show off campus to their friends, family and the local community.

OAC Leadership Conference

This annual student leadership conference is held at the Guelph campus in January and gives students the opportunity to network, listen to guest speakers and develop their leadership skills.

Employment

Career Fairs

We host a fall Career Fair in Ridgetown and a winter Career Fair in Clinton where students connect with employers, distribute their resumes, and learn more about industry career opportunities.

Job Listing

Ridgetown Campus offers an online job listing for students to explore job opportunities within their area of study.
