Royal Brinkman Canada Inc. is a customer service-focused company looking for an Agronomy Technician to work in the Kingsville/Leamington area on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will gain experience in various horticultural settings, including greenhouse vegetables, ornamental plants, nurseries, and mushrooms.

Responsibilities:
• Regular crop inspection, scouting for diseases, and nutrient issues to provide early detection and preventative support to assist customers and minimize crop loss.
• Monitoring thresholds for insect, disease or weed issues and recommending Integrated Pest Management (IPM) actions.
• Execute quality control (QC) on beneficial insects.
• Collect nutrient solutions, water, media, plant tissues (Sap) and leachate samples. Interpret the results to support crop nutrition, health assessments, and informed agronomic decision making.
• Execute customer fertility and pest management programs by implementing cultural controls, biological controls, pesticide applications, and fertility products in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Research and implement product support trials, assist with setup, monitoring, and evaluation of new products and their performance.
• Use of digital tools (e.g. microscope, photos, mapping apps) to provide detailed insights.
• Guide customers fertility and pest control programs involving cultural controls, biological controls, pesticides and fertility products, recommend and implement programs.
• Offer practical real-time solutions that assist customers in improving yields, quality and consistency.
• Work proactively with sales team members to solve issues, share knowledge and deliver value-added agronomic support while contributing to company goals and customer-focused results.
• Provide on site customer support by troubleshooting crop problems, identifying the root causes of performance issues, and offering professional recommendations that improve crop health, yield, and overall customer confidence.

Education & Certification Requirements:
The minimum requirements are a post-secondary education in Horticulture, Agriculture, or related field or equivalent experience. Strong verbal and written communication in English. Good computer literacy (Microsoft Office). This is supplemented with the right product and market knowledge and experience with this type of organization.
Must hold valid G license and provide clean drivers abstract. Professional Agrologist/Agronomist and/or Certified Crop Advisor (CCA-ON) designation, or willingness to obtain.
Physical Requirements:
Agronomy Technicians must be able to perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and repetitive manual tasks, which are recognized as musculoskeletal demands in agricultural field operations. The role requires lifting and carrying materials and equipment—often 20–50 lbs—and working safely in varied environmental conditions such as heat, humidity, and uneven terrain, all common OHS risk factors in agriculture. Technicians must also work safely around agricultural tools and equipment in accordance with agricultural safety standards governing farm operations. Appropriate PPE such as gloves, safety footwear, eye protection, and protective clothing is required when handling chemicals, tools, or biological materials, consistent with hazard-control expectations for agricultural workplaces.
