Field Testing Research Assistant
Location Guelph
A day in the life
As a highly motivated Field Testing Research Assistant you will support the onsite Field Testing Agronomists in all aspects of the field trial program including planting plot maintenance data collection and harvesting This is a field based position where you will work closely with Field Research Scientists and Field Associates to execute the crop research program which supports advancement decisions by Bayer scientists and product placement decisions for Bayer customers You will also contribute to site health safety and compliance programs This position is a 7 month term with an anticipated start date in April 2026
What you bring to the table
You have completed or are close to completing an agriculture related diploma a degree or MSc is an asset
You have farming experience and knowledge of agronomic practices including equipment operation and repair
You have experience in plot research and an understanding of field research methodologies
You have strong organization communication time management and problem solving skills
You can work long hours during planting spraying and harvest seasons
You have a provincial pesticide applicator license or are willing to obtain one
You possess a valid drivers license a clean driving record and are willing to obtain a heavy trailer endorsement
