Description
We are a multi-disciplinary practice that has been providing veterinary care in our community for over 75 years. We provide Vaccine Programs, and Risk Assessment, Wellness Plans, Dental Health Care, medical assessments, Radiology, Surgical and Laser services as well as Nutritional Consultations.

Duties Required:
Monitor the health of all animals
Responsible for following the Veterinarians orders regarding care / treatment of animals
Responsible for ensuring medical records are complete in our Cornerstone software
Radiology, dentistry, maintaining patient surgical and medical records
Preparing surgical suite, drugs and supplies that will be used
Maintaining accurate control drug log with weekly checks
Laboratory skills including cytology, hematology as well as slide and histopathology preparation
Venipuncture and blood processing
Administering sub cutaneous and IV injections under the DVM supervision
Fluid therapy set up and maintenance
Responding to email and text communications with our clients
Preparing estimates and referrals
Adhering to the hospital and clinic guidelines and manual
Other duties as required
Requirements:
Graduate of a 2-year Veterinary Technician course
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have good interpersonal, organizational skills and team orientated worker who demonstrates the ability and willingness to adhere to our high standards of care
Being registered or attempting to become Registered is an asset
Booking appointments and assisting the Veterinary team with appointments as well as providing support for our Reception team
Perform Laboratory work including cytology and hematology
Educate our clients on basic animal welfare and important of treatment etc
Work as a team to ensure a high quality of care
Ensure cleanliness by performing cleaning and sanitizing duties for disease control
Wash, cages walls, equipment and floors
