Description
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee the daily care and management of broiler breeder flocks to ensure their health, productivity and well-being
• Jobs would include all daily husbandry requirements (feeding, bedding, egg collection)
• Accurate record keeping
• General maintenance and upkeep of equipment
• Barn clean-out at the end of the flock
• Ability to operate machinery in a safe and efficient manner
• May include seasonal fieldwork
• Follow all bio-security, food safety, and animal welfare standards
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Walking, bending, lifting, moving carts, and repetitive motions required
Job Requirements:
• Reliable transportation required (farm located outside of town)
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Mechanical abilities an asset
Schedule & Benefits:
• Full-time: 40 hours per week, additional hours possible
• Paid vacation
• Annual bonus
Location:
• Thamesford, ON (on-site; not accessible by public transit)
