Mapleview Farms is a modern cash crop farm, utilizing leading edge agronomic practices and technologies. Located south of London, Ontario, our primary business is high volume production of food, fuel and fibre feedstock including corn, soybeans, edible beans and wheat. We also produce significant quantities of vegetables for processing such as sweet corn, snap beans, and lima beans in cooperation with Canada's leading vegetable processing company. We are looking for a self-motivated candidate to join our team! You Will Learn Modern agronomy practices and cutting-edge use of agriculture technology. Use of integrated pest management (IPM) techniques to control weeds, insects, diseases and other threats. Operation of a variety of farm equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Participation in field operations including tillage, planting, fertilizer and crop protection application, harvesting, baling, mowing, etc. during peak seasons.
Operating a variety of new John Deere machines equipped with modern systems and technology.
Scouting and monitoring field crops, including weed, insect and disease identification.
Use precision agriculture tools to monitor and develop insights on crop success.
Property and facility maintenance including ditch mowing, grass cutting and light equipment maintenance.
Assist in field crop trials and research to better understand crop success.

Key Requirements:

Currently enrolled in an agriculture-related college or university program, who possesses a basic understanding of production agriculture.
Valid drivers license and ability to travel independently.
Willing to work extended hours during peak seasons, including weekends as needed.
Ability to learn and succeed, with ambitions for a future career in agriculture.
Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
Experience operating farm machinery.
