Financial Assistance

Your Options

Need assistance in financing your education? The following two options are ways that you can help pay for your tuition and fees.

1. Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

OSAP provides financial assistance to full-time students enrolled in OSAP approved programs. Applications are available online at OSAP loans are interest-free until program completion.

2. Lines of Credit

Student or education lines of credit are available at most financial institutions. Call your local financial institution for more information.

3. Scholarships & Awards

Students are encouraged to apply for scholarships, awards and bursaries offered at the Ridgetown Campus and the Guelph Campus.

Semester Payments

University of Guelph, Ridgetown Campus operates on a semester system, and invoices and payments are processed each semester.

Any refund of tuition or fees, up to the total value of OSAP received, must be returned to the National Student Loan Service Centre. This government regulation is outlined on the Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA), and the signature/consent pages that students sign. It makes no different if a student selects to remit funds directly to the institution or not; all OSAP-funded students agree to these terms and conditions when they apply for OSAP.
