Student Counselling

Students are welcome to make an appointment with a mental health and addictions counsellor who holds weekly on-campus office hours.

Nurse Practitioner

Students can book an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner during their on-campus office hours to discuss any medical concerns or conditions. To book an appointment, visit www.ckchc.ca.

Public Health Nurse

There is also a public health nurse that holds office hours in downtown Ridgetown on a weekly basis.

Local Area Hospitals

The closest emergency services department is in Chatham, ON at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance or in Newbury, ON at Four Counties Health Services. Students who are studying in Clinton, ON have access to the Clinton Public Hospital, located within the town of Clinton, ON.

Student Health and Dental Benefits

Students are required to purchase health and dental benefits and are automatically enrolled into both benefits programs. However, if a student’s parents/guardians have adequate benefits; students may opt-out of the benefits program online.

Local Area Pharmacies

There are a few options available in Ridgetown and Clinton to assist students with filling prescriptions or attaining other medical supplies.

Student Intramural Sports Program

Many different athletic opportunities are available for students to participate in – just for fun and friendship!

Fitness Centre

Located in the basement of Steckley Hall Residence, the centre is open for all students to use at no additional cost. Stay fit and active!
