We are looking for a motivated student to join our team this summer!
W. Gillan Farms is a robotic dairy operation located in Pakenham, just west of Ottawa. We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to assist with daily farm operations.
Responsibilities include:
? Cleaning and maintaining milking robots
? Tidying stalls and crosswalks
? Fetching cows
? Assisting with general cow and calf care
? Other responsibilities appropriate to your skillset
Ideal candidate:
? Calm and patient with animals
? Strong attention to detail
? Good communication skills
? Able to work independently and with others
? This role involves physical labour, including lifting and bending
? Has a valid drivers license and own transportation
Experience working with dairy cows and operating a skid steer is considered an asset, but not required.
Schedule:
? Monday to Friday: 6:00–11:00 AM and 3:00–5:30 PM
? Every other weekend: 6:00–8:30 AM and 3:00–5:30 PM
Competitive wages. Independent off-site housing is available if required.
More hours are available for the right candidate.
