Atwood Farm Supplies is a progressive ag-retailer serving farmers in Mid-Western Ontario from our location near Donegal (Just outside Listowel). We supply Crop Inputs including – Fertilizer, Crop Protection, Seed and related Agronomy and Custom Application Services to our customers. We are looking to add a Sales Agronomist to our team.

The successful candidate will have the following skill set:

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Effective time manager with ability to work independently towards goals

· Well organized with ability to manage multiple priorities

· CCA designation or willingness to obtain

· Positive, team first attitude, driven to excel in fast paced environment

· Keen interest in Agronomy, with ability to apply technology to help customers succeed

· Excellent customer service skills


Key Job Elements:

· Work with customers to help position agronomic tools such as, fertilizer, seed, crop protection products and services to maximize customers crop performance.

· Consult with customers to develop crop plans and agronomic actions to improve crop production.

· In season crop evaluation and recommendations based on routine crop scouting, soil and tissue sampling, pest traps and other agronomy tools.

· Increase agricultural knowledge through participation in industry events and self-learning. Obtain and maintain Certified Crop Advisor status.

· Promote Atwood Farm Supplies and the products, services and programs we deliver.

· Support customers stewardship efforts such as 4Rs, pest assessments, and record keeping. Develop diagnostic skills to clearly identify, crop stages, populations, weeds, diseases and nutrient deficiencies.

· Assist in plot trials, including planting, scouting, signage and harvest.

· Work extended hours providing effective customer service and operational support during busy planting season.
