Royal Brinkman Canada Inc. is a customer service-focused company looking for an Agronomy Technician to work in the Kingsville/Leamington area on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will gain experience in various horticultural settings, including greenhouse vegetable, ornamental plants, nurseries, and mushrooms. Responsibilities
• Under the direction of the Head Agronomist, relay to customers fertility and pest control programs involving cultural controls, biological controls, pesticides and fertility products.
• Execute trials for new products and new uses.
• Implement media, tissue, sap and leachate sampling programs.
• Partner with Royal Brinkman team members to drive sales and agronomic practices for customer profitability.
• Provide integrated pest management support: inspect and monitor plants for symptoms or signs of pests or diseases such as spider mite, aphids, thrips, powdery mildew, fusarium botrytis, phytophthora, etc.
• Provide a report on findings (complete a scout sheet) to the Head Agronomist.
• Comply with all Health & Safety and Standard Operating procedures and policies.
• Other duties assigned, including Integrated Pest Management (IPM), nutrient management duties.
Skills & Qualifications
• Education: Secondary school diploma or equivalent (required). Post-secondary education in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Experience: Previous experience in a greenhouse, horticulture, or agricultural setting is an asset.
• Certifications: Professional Agrologist/Agronomist and/or Certified Crop Advisor (CCA-ON) designation, or willingness to obtain.
• Technical Skills: Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in work.
• Teamwork & Independence: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Professionalism: Positive attitude, punctual, and reliable.
• Discretion & Professionalism: Ability to interact with customers respectfully and professionally, using discretion to assess situations and determine the appropriate level of engagement.
• Licensing: Valid G class driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
• Must be able to walk, stand, or perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
• Comfortable working in hot, humid environments and at heights.

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; No weekend hours.
