Research Interests:

Currently, research on rural property values is my primary area of interest. My other research interests include agricultural policy, agriculture marketing, and profitability analyses of production practices. Recent or current projects include:

  • Assessing the impacts of wind turbines on property values
  • Assessing the effects of the Greenbelt on farmland prices and on rural residential property prices
  • Comparing returns for corn and soybeans under various marketing strategies
  • Examining the effects of discounts on the demand for pork products
  • Evaluating the use of miscanthus as an energy source for the greenhouse industry
  • Profitability analyses of cover crop practices
