Research Interests:

Currently, research on farmland values is my primary area of interest. My other research interests include agricultural policy, agriculture marketing and profitability analyses of production practices. Recent or current projects include:

  • Comparing returns for corn under various marketing strategies
  • Assessing the effects of the Greenbelt on farmland prices
  • Assessing the impacts of wind turbines on property values
  • Evaluating the productivity and profitability of current agricultural practices in Southeast Leamington
  • Assessing the economic impact of Ontario’s corn sector
  • Profitability analyses of weed control practices

I teach in the Agriculture Diploma program and the Bachelor of Bio-Resource Management degree program at Ridgetown Campus. Courses include:
