Living in Residence
Steckley Hall Residence
It’s easy to stay connected and close to everything when you live on campus. From ‘rez rooms’ with high speed internet, to nightly intramural sports and more… you will be close to classmates, faculty, athletic facilities and cafeteria services.
Students wishing to live in residence can apply for a room in Steckley Hall. The residence provides a positive experience in group living where students learn self-discipline and can participate in student governance.
Residence Details
- Steckley Hall is a co-ed residence with space for over 250 students in double rooms (single rooms may also be rented at an increased cost)
- Steckley Hall is staffed 24 hours/day
- Residence services include: cable TV, phones, Internet access, weight/exercise room, laundry facilities, and four student lounges
- Steckley Hall is a non-smoking facility with an assigned outdoor smoking area
- A quiet wing is available for students looking for lots of study time
- All students living in Steckley Hall are required to purchase a meal plan
- Parking is available on campus

Residence Fees
- Double occupancy - $1,036 per semester (two students per room)
- Single occupancy - $2,072 per semester (one student per room)
Student Campus Centre
The Campus Centre is a licensed lounge facility that students and guests utilize for special events such as karaoke nights, games nights, movie nights and pub nights.
Reek Library
The Reek library offers a number of services for students including:
- Assistance with searching, finding and using information for assignments
- Over 10,000 items on the shelves for borrowing and an increasing collection of e-books
- Networked workstations and wireless enabled laptops on loan
- Online access to the tri-universities collection at University of Guelph, University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University
- Textbook sales and sales of basic school supplies
