Your Alumni Association helps:
Current Students
One of the roles of the Westag Alumni Association is to encourage and support current students.
Awards
The Alumni Association sponsors two awards each year:
- Top Student in Crop Management
- $150 award given in the fall to the student with the highest mark in DAGR 2200 - Crop Management I.
- Student Overcoming Adversity
- $500 award presented at graduation to a student overcoming adversity to achieve a Diploma in any program. Examples of adversity would be a learning disability, family problems/tragedy, or personal tragedy.
The Alumni Association provides orientation packages with snacks and useful product samples to first year students.
Alumni
Each year, the Association hosts an Alumni Banquet and Dance for classes celebrating anniversaries (5 year increments)
Our School
The Alumni Association is happy to support Ridgetown Campus. A donation of $10,000 was made to the Rudy H. Brown Rural Development Centre fundraising campaign, and an additional $10,000 was recently given to purchase catering equipment for the building.
